Mark Summers MD gives evidence to the House of Commons ITC

Mark Summers AVPE’s Managing Director was invited to give evidence on 31st October to the House of Commons International Trade Committee.

The Committee was reviewing the future role of industry stakeholders on future UK Trade Agreements. Mark was joined by the Hannah Essex, Co-Executive Director of Policy and Campaigns at the British Chambers of Commerce, David Talbot, Senior Director International Government Affairs Eli Lilly and Co. and Sally Jones, Director of International Trade Policy and Global Brexit Insight Lead at Deloitte.

Commenting on the experience Mark said, “It was a great opportunity for AVPE to inform MPs on the practical challenges faced by SMEs when looking to trade in new export markets.

The timing was particularly important for AVPE, as I'm travelling to Canada next week with a DIT sponsored Trade Mission to Bombardier and AVPE is one of a few companies invited to participant on this mission. I hope that my evidence will help shape Government process and policy to enable SME Companies to develop export opportunities in a post Brexit UK.”
